Card Ministry
![]() On my journey out today, I thought of you along the way!
What a better way to say, You’re in my thoughts and prayers today, then making a card and sending it out, that’s what “Caring Cards” is all about! A “Crafty” Care Team Ministry of talented people who come together to make lovely handmade cards for St. John’s UMC family’s who may be going through a rough time, illness, or maybe just need to know we’re praying for them. This ministry meets the second Monday of the month in the Community Room (Room #310) from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Team Leader: Linda Radler / Email: linda@radlers.com Prayer Shawl Ministry
![]() This ministry is a branch of the Pastoral Care Team that reaches people like no other.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry began November 2008. We have gifted over 650 shawls. We comfort hurts or add joy to a celebration. As well as to our church family, St. John’s shawls have gone to: Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Washington, California, Pennsylvania, North and South Carolina, India, Russia and France. We hear time and time again how much a shawl means to a person who receives one. As shared in a thank you note, "As soon as the lovely shawl was draped around my shoulders, I felt the warmth and power of the prayers that went into it." We welcome YOU to share your time and talent in this ministry. Yarn provided. We can teach you the stitches. |
