Dear parent:
Greetings in the Name above all names! I hope and pray you are well. Confirmation is the process we take our middle and high school students through in hopes of deepening their faith journey. In essence, it is a time for students to gain a clearer understanding of who Jesus is in their lives and to make a personal commitment to follow him. As a result, the students come to “own their faith” and become members of the church. In addition, all students desiring to complete their confirmation process must be baptized. (Baptisms are scheduled for September 28 at 4:00 p.m. at Siesta Key Beach!)
This year’s confirmation class will take place over 4 sessions, each gathering lasting approximately 90 minutes. The meetings will begin immediately at the end of the 11:00 a.m. service and a light lunch will be served. The dates are as follows: Oct. 5, 12 & 19 and November 9. The participants will then be received as members on November 16.
