Adopt a Classroom

St. John’s will again be joining forces with Children First to help brighten the lives of many families in the community this holiday season.
Children First is a private, non-profit organization that serves Sarasota County’s most vulnerable children, ages birth to five-years old. They have 15 locations throughout Sarasota County. Their mission is to strengthen the children and their families through development, education, health and their well-being.
We will be adopting 100 students so we need everyone to prayerfully consider helping out.
Click on the below button and a student information sheet will be emailed to you.
Children First is asking for something they need, something they want and something educational like a book. They would like to package four items per child and ask that you spend around $30-50 per child. You may also invite a friend or family member to help cover the cost and share the expense. On the dolls and Barbies please get all different skin tones. On any items that are large ticket, like bikes, scooters, tablets, etc., if God puts that gift on your heart, please feel free to purchase a gift card and put it in an envelope stating what it is for and put it in the bag with the other gifts.
If you are not able to get out, please call the office and someone will come and pick your items up for you OR you can send a donation, and we will shop for you.
We are asking that all gifts remain unwrapped but provide wrapping paper and tape or gift bags and tissue paper. This will empower the parents to participate in Christmas for their children.
If you have any questions regarding this outreach, please feel free to email Carolyn Mac Millan or Julie Bullerdick.
