Women's Ministry
We invite all women into the membership of the Women’s Ministry of St. John’s United Methodist Church. We are an open, diverse community of Christian women at St. John’s that challenges each other toward the full and equal responsibility and participation of all women in the church’s life, ministry and are dedicated to supporting each other through the challenges of life.
Our purpose is to bring women of St. John’s together in fellowship on a quarterly basis in some special event. We strive to include all women of St. John’s from the youngest to the oldest. We meet in board meetings quarterly and are governed by a Director, Co-Director, Secretary, Treasurer and Leaders of all the women’s small groups and teams. The mission of the Women’s Ministry is realized through spiritually-oriented programs, retreats and activities that enrich the lives of women including:

St. John’s is partnering with All Faith’s Food Bank to make a difference in the lives of children who attend McIntosh Middle School. Many of our children who receive food through the school system during the day have little or nothing to eat on the weekends. Through this outreach program, we can make a difference in their lives during the weekend.

The Christmas Wreath Project is the largest fundraiser the women
participate in. Through this event, they are able to generate funds to help support
their mission projects. If you have never made the wreaths before, that is
okay. There are plenty of experienced wreath makers available to teach you. Don’t
miss this special time to fellowship with old and new friends. This project begins at the end of November and usually runs a little over two weeks.
