Singles In the Spirit

For all single adults, whether divorced, widowed, separated, or never-married. Open to all singles over 50, regardless of church affiliation. Besides various monthly activities within our own group, we also network with several larger Christian singles groups in the community. There is sure to be something to meet your needs.

What All We Do
  • Potluck Dinner & Game Nights at the Church.
  • Dinner Out Once a Month at Various Restaurants.
  • Discussion Series Lasting 6-8 Weeks on Topics Relevant to Singles (Like Dating, Relationships, Etc.)
  • Bible Studies on Various Topics.
  • Picnics at the Beach.
  • Movie Nights Once a Month.
  • Attend a Dinner Theatre/Play.
  • Attend Gospel Music Concerts.
  • Sightseeing Trips Touring Many Neat things Around the Area.
  • Attend Meetings of Other Singles Groups with Many Interesting Guest Speakers.
  • Help Each Other Out in Time of Need.

February Events

_PLANNING MEETING, DINNER AND GAME NIGHT AT TOM MCFATE’S
Tuesday, February 14, 5:00 PM          
(Note the changed format) Join us for a short planning meeting as we plan for March and April. At 6:00, we will have a light dinner. At 7:00, you’re welcome to join us for a game of Mexican Train Dominoes. If you don’t know how to play this game, we’ll teach you! It’s not hard. You may come just for the dinner and dominoes only, if you would prefer. Call with ideas if you are unable to attend.

TOUR THE CORKSCREW SWAMP WILDLIFE SANCTUARY AND RE-VISIT “AVE MARIA”(A NEW TOWN NEAR IMMOKALEE)
Tuesday February 21, 8:00 AM
Meet at Tom McFate’s. We’ll tour Corkscrew Swamp Wildlife Sanctuary (NE of Naples), maintained by the National Audubon Society. We’ll walk on part of a 2.25 mile long, wooden boardwalk. Admission is $10. Then we’ll head east some 12 miles and revisit the new town of Ave Maria where we will have lunch. 

MASTERWORKS CONCERT AT ST. JOHNS
Sunday, February 26, 4:15 PM
Sharon Scott, will present a concert entitled “Mama, Mahalia & Me” in honor of Black History Month, She is “a professional, world-traveled singer, actress, and writer. “Sharon sings, has a short picture presentation, and discusses Mahalia Jackson.” Dinner afterwards at a restaurant of our choice.
